Draw With Me!

Ever since I began making art, I’ve loved drawing with fine liner pens. I first discovered architectural sketching, adding washes of ink and watercolour to my pen sketches, as well as making all sorts of patterns; doodles, mandalas, decorative designs and abstract works. Some of those designs I have gone on to use in my fine art printmaking, creating screen prints from my original drawings that have been exhibited across the UK. In 2023, I began a second YouTube channel to to share my love of fine line patterns and I’ve started to share videos showing how to draw geometric designs, celtic knots and pattern prompts.

In this series of videos I take you from the basics of making interwoven Celtic knot designs to more intricate designs like this pattern of multiple triquetra shapes.

I’m adding to this series all the time, so check out my link below for the most recent tutorials and process videos.

In this series, I work in a small sketchbook and make patterns from simple repeating shapes, giving you ideas for your own pattern drawings.

Some are decorative, others minimal and abstract. Working on a small scale allows you to enjoy the repetition of a pattern without being overwhelmed (or bored!!)

Enjoy the process of drawing mandalas with me. Every one is different but there are simple building blocks to each one, from the underlying geometric construction to the detailing and design.

These circular drawings are meditative and calming to draw with just the right amount of repetition and simplicity building up to make beautifully complex designs.
