Description

This is an original painting in watercolour and gold leaf. Recently, I have been experimenting with different methods of applying watercolour, deliberately developing bleeds, runs, granulation and feathering. I overlay some paintings with linework in pen and embellished them with 23 carat gold.

This painting, I have called ‘Honesty’ because it was created with a deliberate restraint, looking at what is truly important and being sparing with the shapes and processes. It is a reminder not to overcomplicate things and to appreciate the beauty in simple forms, media and materials.

Painted on cold pressed 9×12 inch (310 x 2230mm) 300gsm watercolour paper with Ivory black watercolour from Winsor and Newton, embellished with 23 carat gold leaf.

Your painting will be sent unmounted and unframed, wrapped in acid free tissue in a sturdy cardboard envelope. Orders will be posted from the UK within three working days. Deliveries will be sent by Royal Mail, packaged flat. Shipping is free within the UK, for international orders, please contact me.
