Teaching has been a huge part of my art practice since the very start and I love experimenting with new techniques, devising projects and sharing them with as many of you as possible in order to get you painting, drawing and printmaking. You can learn alongside me online in my regular video tutorials or in person at a workshop.
I’ve been creating art tutorials on YouTube since 2020. In the last two years, I’ve really focused on watercolour projects that you can follow along with if you’re a beginner and provide inspiration to more experienced artists too. Projects are varied in skill level and subject so hopefully you will find something to get you painting!
Join my monthly membership on my bespoke learning site! Lou's Pattern Library offers memberships to courses, online workshops and a growing library of monthly pattern tutorials. Every month, Lou explores a different pattern and creates a range of resources to help you draw, paint and decorate the pattern for yourself. The patterns in this library are often historical patterns from around the world and are constructed using pencil, ruler and compasses.
Join me in Edinburgh with the Arienas Collective for an in-person workshop in Screen Printing, Gel Printing or Watercolour Painting. I've been running one or half day workshops with the collective since 2019 and it's always a great experience! Learn a new skill in a day, in good company and in the beautiful surrounds of Edinburgh's New Town.
